Bucephalandra motleyana 'Pancuraji' is an older name for an epiphytic plant from Borneo that Flowgrow now lists as Bucephalandra sp. 'Pancur Aji'.1 The name probably derives from Pancur Aji, a waterfall in Sanggau regency, West Kalimantan.12 Flowgrow first placed it in B. motleyana following Bogner & Hay (2000); in the narrower concept of Wong & Boyce (2014) it does not belong there, and its species is unresolved.1 True B. motleyana is documented only by Motley's collection from south-eastern Kalimantan and is not in cultivation.3
For a Bucephalandra it grows fairly large; under water its sturdy rhizome tends to grow upright.1 The tough, mid- to dark green leaves are oblanceolate to obovate, and newly emerging ones may be tinged reddish brown.1 It grows very slowly, is considered easy and is propagated by dividing the rhizome.1
