Description:

Cryptocoryne undulata 'Broad Leaves' is, according to information from the company Tropica (Denmark), a triploid form (a plant with a triple set of chromosomes) of Cryptocoryne undulata. Under the same cultivation conditions, the submersed form is broader-leaved and also larger-growing than the common form of C. undulata. The submersed leaves have a speckled pattern. According to Tropica, the height and width of the leaf rosette are 15-25 cm and 10-20 cm respectively.

The Broad-leaved Wavy Water Trumpet is just as undemanding and adaptable in the aquarium as normal C. undulata and the other similar, closely related species from Sri Lanka (C. beckettii, C. wendtii, C. walkeri).
