Anubias lanceolata was described as a species by N. E. Brown in 1901. According to Crusio (1987)1 this name is a synonym of Anubias barteri var. glabra.
For a long time, Anubias plants with fairly narrow, lanceolate leaves have been sold in the trade as Anubias lanceolata. It would be worth checking whether they belong to A. barteri var. glabra or possibly also to A. barteri var. angustifolia.
