Description:

This plant is a new, intensely red-coloured Alternanthera reineckii cultivar with a striking leaf pattern. It is in the trade under the cultivar names 'Rosanervig' and 'Red Ruby'.

The tissue around the leaf midrib and the stronger veins is lighter than the rest of the leaf surface and deep pink to ruby red. The 'Rosanervig' parrot leaf grows somewhat more compactly and more slowly than other, larger A. reineckii cultivars and in this respect resembles A. reineckii 'Mini'.
