Description: 

Several plants are carried under the name "Echinodorus argentinensis":

- It is a synonym for Echinodorus grandiflorus sensu strictu. This species is only rarely in cultivation as aquarium plant today.

- In Germany, a plant labelled "Echinodorus argentinensis" is frequently found in trade that has nothing in common with E. grandiflorus but is most probably a form of Echinodorus palaefolius but shows common characteristics with Echinodorus subalatus, too.
