Description:

This extremely narrow-leaved plant from Eastern Thailand is known as "Cryptocoryne tonkinensis" for many years. However it turned out as a new variety of Cryptocoryne crispatula. It is described under the name C. crispatula var. kubotae by Jacobsen & al. (2015). The variety kubotae is distinct from the true, broader leaved var. tonkinensis that occurs in northern Vietnam and southeastern China (Guangxi).
