And now the truth. A friend who bought from me this plant about year ago sent me a picture of Schismatoglottis and now it looks huge. Leaves size are about 30 cm. I was amazed because in my tanks this plants over the years does not exceed mentioned by sumpfheini size (8-10 cm only). I have also other Roseospatha from another source and from 4 years it grow on the stone and to this day they look like a little grass. I wonder why this plant achieved such huge proportions on my friend's tank.

His water parameters:

GH = 8, KH = 0-1, pH = 6.8
And now surprise: no fertilization!!! (Po4 = 0, No3 = 0)

I suppose the reason was that roots of Roseospatha reached in the soil, which caused such a intense growth. A friend told that at the beggining for eight months the plant grow small and do not exceed the 8 cm in size of the leaf. However, after these 8 months suddenly accelerated its growth and rate of grow leaves reached to 1 per week!!

Now the stems are thick like little finger :)

Here is the photo of his Roseospatha:

Hallo vasteq,
