Echinodorus 'Green Flame'

Echinodorus 'Green Flame' was selected from a population of the cultivar E. 'Red Flame' by Hans Barth (Dessau, Germany), and was brought onto the market in 2000. With an overall height of 30 to 40 cm, this plant belongs to the medium- to large-sized sword plants. It has a dense leaf rosette.
Its submersed leaves are longish-oval and, other than E. 'Red Flame', have paler red spots on greener ground.
E. 'Green Flame' is an especially fast-growing variety needing only moderate light.
