Description:

Cryptocoryne moehlmannii is very much like C. pontederiifolia. Like the latter, it originates from an area on the western coast of Sumatra. Both species mainly differ by characteristics of the inflorescence (more precisely, the spathe), moreover, the leaf undersides and leafstalks of C. moehlmannii are light green (not reddish brown). This plant is comparable to C. pontederiifolia regarding its demands and usage in the hobby.
